To the Most Awesome Praise Band ever known to me (sorry, that greeting really lost it's 'epic-ness' there at the end!)

I don't know about you, yesterday was AMAZING!
1. We sang songs that Christians for generations have sung about our Savior

Galations4:4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

2. We played our best for Him (pa rum pa pum pum)

3. We lead people to worship God, and proclaim His glory, as He became "God with us".

Hello All

I think that everyone has heard that I have been called to be a church planting pastor by FBC Newcastle. Christy and I are excited about what God is doing with us and through us and would ask for your continued prayers. One of my top priorities is to help in anyway that I can Bethel make this transition. It has been the joy of my week and an honor to serve in this band with each of you. Mark Powell will be at practice tomorrow night and we can talk through some of the details. I love each one of you and thank you for being a blessing to Christy and I.

Hey everybody

You all did such a great job last weekend. I am so sorry that I have got this set up so late! I think that all the songs will be familiar except the "Unspeakable Joy" chorus that Tomlin added to Joy to the World. Come Thou Long Expected Jesus is not the traditional melody, but easy to pick up. I will get the next few weeks sets up as soon as possible, but don't have them finalized yet.

FYI - We have been asked to play at the 'Joy of Christmas' the pm service the night of December 6. We will need to do a sound check on Saturday December 5 at 10 am. Please let me know if this works into your schedule.

Gavin will be playing bass for us, Jim is back, and Amy B & Alicia will be singing with us on Sunday. Practice is Thursday at 8:30pm. Alicia will not be able to join us at practice, but will be there on Sunday. Gavin will be at practice as soon as his class is out. Here is the set and a few directions for us to adapt without a EG. Please be praying for us to find a EG player. I would prefer not to hold an 'open call', but we might have to work through that process because I don't have any leads.

Well the web links are fixed! sort of... We just found a work-around for the mp3 links. They should work, please let me know if they don't.

We are going to run an accoustic set. David, I am thinking mostly aux percussion. We are a three piece, so things will sound very different.

This is going to be a busy week and Sunday. We have our normal set, plus playing at the block party on Sunday night. Hello All

Angela is singing with us this week. I am out of town from Sunday evening to Wednesday night this week, so I got the set up early. Practice is a little tricky for me this week. I would like to set practice at 6 pm on Thursday because I have an 8 pm machine pitch game. Now I might have to change that time depending on Kimber's tournament. If they lose on Tuesday then we have a game on Thursday and I am the only coach in town. So if I can't practice on Thursday at 6, here are the options.

In order of my preference:
1. Best (but latest) - Thursday 9:30 pm
2. Good for me but I don't know about you... - Friday between 5 pm - 10 pm -or- Saturday after 8:30 pm
3. Only if we have to... - Sunday morning 9:30 AM

I am sooo sorry about this craziness. This is what happens when I plan vacations and try to be here on Sunday. It leave no time the rest of the week to get Sunday stuff done!.

I'm sorry that the set is so late this week. I have been trying to find fill-ins for David & Paul, to no avail. So I have attempted to make an acoustic set. Josh (on lead) & I will be on acoustic guitar, Jim will be on keys, aux percussion, pad, jug, saw, et. Al. ;-)

We will have to arrange quite a bit tomorrow night. We will probably cut one or two of the songs below, but I wanted to have a pool to chose from if one doesn't sound good with the alternative set-up. Thanks for being flexible.

You can either play a song from the church computer (Chris Rice - Living Room Sessions - is piano arrangements of hymns) or you can prepare a song for the invitatioin.

Sunday, March 22nd is another story. I will be back in town on Thursday, but late. Ronnie is available but Peter is out on the 22nd. This week we will make a plan for the 22nd. Angela will not be singing on the 22nd. ***

Set 1-18-2009

Brandon Rycroft is taking care of tomorrow morning because Joseph and I are headed on the college ski trip, Jeremy is coming back from Miami, and PK is coming back from Colorado. I pray God leads and guides his people in worship tomorrow. Brandon and DK will do a great job!

I wanted to get out the set for the 18th before I headed to NM. I'm getting back on Thursday, and I was wondering if we could have our first Thursday practice at 9 pm instead of 6:30. Please e-mail me and let me know if you can make it. I just don't know if we can make it back by 6:30 and I don't want to move practice to the weekend because it is D-Now.
