from "A Royal Waste of Time"

"To worship the Lord is -- in the world's eyes -- a waste of time... Worship ought not be construed in a utilitarian way. Its purpose is not to gain numbers nor for our churches to be seen as successful. Rather, the entire reason for worship is that God deserves it."

Set 1-18-2009

Brandon Rycroft is taking care of tomorrow morning because Joseph and I are headed on the college ski trip, Jeremy is coming back from Miami, and PK is coming back from Colorado. I pray God leads and guides his people in worship tomorrow. Brandon and DK will do a great job!

I wanted to get out the set for the 18th before I headed to NM. I'm getting back on Thursday, and I was wondering if we could have our first Thursday practice at 9 pm instead of 6:30. Please e-mail me and let me know if you can make it. I just don't know if we can make it back by 6:30 and I don't want to move practice to the weekend because it is D-Now.

Here is the set for the 18th. I might add a song if there is a D-Now theme song or a way to tie into the special speaker's talk.

All We Need (mp3)
Everlasting God (mp3)
Everything Glorious (mp3)
Come Thou Fount (mp3)

[to close the service]
O Praise Him (All this for a King) (mp3)

I hope everybody has had a great week. I'll be checking e-mail and the blog as I can this week.
