from "A Royal Waste of Time"

"To worship the Lord is -- in the world's eyes -- a waste of time... Worship ought not be construed in a utilitarian way. Its purpose is not to gain numbers nor for our churches to be seen as successful. Rather, the entire reason for worship is that God deserves it."

Set 3-8-2009

Hello All

Here is the set for this Sunday. Josh Reed will be filling in on guitar this week and we have moved practice to 7. I have thrown it two new songs, but I know you can do it and I think they are fairly easy to pick up. We will possibly lower the keys of both Cannons and Love is Here.

Cannons (mp3)
How Great Thou Art (mp3)
Lead Me to the Cross (mp3)
Love is Here (mp3)
Better is One Day (mp3)
----------
I think that we will come back up at the end and finish off with Love is Here

*** Next week, I will be leaving for Haiti. Ronnie can play accustic guitar and Peter will be playing. Jeremy will get you all the set and I think practice will BE MOVED TO Tuesday @ 6:30. You all will run the service on the 15th (David Ibach will be in town and be able to open up on Sunday morning). After the video is played, Mark Hensley will come down to run the invitation. You can either play a song from the church computer (Chris Rice - Living Room Sessions - is piano arrangements of hymns) or you can prepare a song for the invitatioin.

Sunday, March 22nd is another story. I will be back in town on Thursday, but late. Ronnie is available but Peter is out on the 22nd. This week we will make a plan for the 22nd. Angela will not be singing on the 22nd. ***

You guys are a blessing and it is an absolute joy to serve and lead with you every week. Thank you for your friendship and you service.

Grace & Peace
Andy
