from "A Royal Waste of Time"

"To worship the Lord is -- in the world's eyes -- a waste of time... Worship ought not be construed in a utilitarian way. Its purpose is not to gain numbers nor for our churches to be seen as successful. Rather, the entire reason for worship is that God deserves it."

The Already But Not Yet
Jesus will return. In the meantime we do not struggle to be free but we are free to struggle with sin because of the gospel. It is hard. We hate sin. We hate death. We hurt, weep, suffer and we do so together. We long for more of Jesus, more of the gospel. We long for justice, for things set aright.

Lead Me to the Cross  (mp3)

“You’re never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace, but you’re never so good that you don’t stand in need of God’s grace.” – Rev. Dustin Salter (RUF Campus Minister, died March 19, 2007)
